Welcome to Stimulate! These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of our website and services. By signing into this website and utilizing our services, you agree to comply with these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website.

1. Products or Services Provided

Stimulate provides an opportunity for individuals curious about a particular topic or struggling with a question in STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) to send their question to an expert. The expert then joins a voice meeting with a virtual whiteboard to answer the learner's question.

2. Prices and Payment

Stimulate offers different pricing plans for learners and experts. Basic, Standard and Premium Learner prices, as well as Expert prices and payment details can be found on the Pricing section of our website.

• Learners: We offer an initial 1-lesson free trial for new learners. The initial payment will be taken before the free trial session, and the learner will have the option to request a refund if the service was unsatisfactory. If the learner wishes to continue, the initial payment will count towards two paid sessions + the free session.
• Experts: Payments for experts are made on a per-session basis as outlined on our Pricing page.

All payments are processed securely through direct bank account trnasfers. Any payment issues can be reported to us via the contact page.

3. Guarantees and Safeguarding

At Stimulate, we prioritize the privacy and safety of our users. The voice calling facility is strictly audio-only to preserve privacy and consumer rights. All meetings are recorded and monitored by our safeguarding team.

• Any form of verbal bullying or abuse during the meetings will not be tolerated, and your access to website facilities will be immediately removed without refund.
• Such behavior will be reported as necessary and may result in permanent banning from our website.
• As an expert, if you have received a rating of less than 3 out of 10 for 3 or more consecutive sessions, you will be removed as an expert (you will be able to rejoin after 3 months) and will not be entitled to the monetary bonuses for that month. You do have the option to appeal against this decision, and you can do so by filling out the contact form here. This is to ensure our learners get the best quality service, and that Stimulate can answer their questions as best as possible.

4. Experts

By signing up as an expert, and completing the form on the Expert Homepage, you have agreed to the terms and conditions outlined in this document. Please note that any breach of these terms and conditions may lead to significant disciplinary actions, such as removal from Stimulate as an expert.

5. Shared Spreadsheet Usage (Experts Only)

Our spreadsheet usage policy exists to guarantee that all spreadsheets are used appropriately and for their intended purpose. Any breaching of the rules below may lead to a permanent banning from the Stimulate site as an expert.

• The only edits an expert is able to make on the spreadsheet is to 'Accept' a comment by changing the appropriate cell from 'Pending' to 'Accept'. Any edits outside of this, or any deleting of learner data is considered a breach of the spreadsheet usage policy.
• Once an expert has accepted a query, they have a 5 minute timeline in case they want to change their decision. To change the decision, retype 'Pending' into the appropriate box. Once the 5 minutes have passed, the expert will be obliged by the policy to answer the query.

6. Returns, Refunds, and Complaints

For any issues related to returns, refunds, or complaints, please refer to the Contact page on our website. We are committed to resolving any problems you may encounter with our services.

7. Limitation of Liability

Stimulate's liability is limited to issues related to your account and safeguarding concerns that may arise during meetings. We are not liable for any other issues or damages that may occur outside of these specific areas.

8. Future Changes

Stimulate reserves the right to modify and update these terms and conditions at any time. Customers will be notified by email of any significant changes. Continued use of the website and services after such changes implies acceptance of the updated terms.

9. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
